Finn Morgan-Roberts on making
Lonely Souls
Lonely Souls
Lonely Souls was awarded Best British Entry, Best British Young Filmmaker, Best Animation and a Diamond
I asked Finn later about the soundtrack. He replied:
I composed all the music myself. As the film had only one word of dialogue, I wanted it to be score-driven. I wanted the score to be horror-esque, to contrast the sweet ending. It uses the language of horror music to set up expectations, that are subverted at the end of the film. I also used the score to re-enforce the dream-like quality of the visuals.

Thanks to Alistair Biggar for camera and sound.
